What are the costs?

When you enrol, you pay a tuition fee for your course. TAFE NSW offers a wide choice of courses, some that attract government subsidies and some that do not. The fees payable will vary, depending on your personal circumstances, your study history and the course you choose.

Smart and Skilled and your course fees

The government’s new arrangement for subsidised training is called Smart and Skilled. It means every training provider, including TAFE NSW, must charge the same fixed price for NSW government-subsidised qualifications.

Some courses receive funding support from the NSW state government. Under Smart and Skilled, all courses on the Skills List have been given set prices by the state government. The price you pay depends on your eligibility for a concession or exemption and your qualification history
